Below is a listing of legal services in which I concentrate and have experience. I practice in a wide variety of areas and can assist you with all your general legal needs.
 

Bankruptcy
 

My office counsels individuals facing a debt crisis, whether they have piles of credit card bills and/or collection letters, they are facing foreclosure on a home, or they just reached a new financial low and don't know how a formerly manageable debt can now be paid. My clients know that bankruptcy doesn't necessarily equal the inability to get credit in the future; nor does it mean the loss of everything they've owned and worked hard for. I help my clients consider all options, including whether debt repayment is best for them. Moreover, if they choose bankruptcy, I will do more than just the paperwork; my clients will understand the process.
 
I am a debt relief agency under new bankruptcy laws effective October 17, 2005, and I help people file for Chapter 7 and 13 relief under the bankruptcy code.

Mediation
 
Divorce is horrible enough without battles over everything from the wedding silverware to how to divide holiday visitation for the kids. My office provides individuals seeking divorce with a place to discuss, face to face, what needs they have and what solutions they can live with, without resorting to long drawn out legal contests. I also assist in creating the necessary legal documents for an uncontested divorce hearing.

Criminal Defense

My office represents individuals who are charged with a range of criminal offenses in the District or Superior courts in Massachusetts, from DUI, larceny or drug possession to domestic violence. I assist both individuals who seek vindication through a trial, as well as those who want to settle their criminal matters, but want the best possible result and the fairest penalty set, and who don't feel they can deal with an assistant District Attorney directly. I also represent juveniles facing delinquency proceedings in Juvenile Court, and have concentrated in this area for twelve years.
 

Personal Injury
 

Auto accidents, slip and fall, negligence of others, infliction of emotional distress - the list of types of personal injury matters is long. My office provides individuals the opportunity to fairly evaluate whether they have been wronged or damaged by another person's actions, and whether they can be compensated. Delay in evaluating a personal injury scenario can result in less compensation for those wronged. My fees are contingent upon a successful outcome in any personal injury matter.
 

Family Law
 

My office counsels individuals in many areas involving the Probate and family court, including contested divorces,custody, support, modification of court order,  guardianships, paternity or adoption.
 

Consumer Issues

Both Massachusetts and Federal laws protect consumers from rip-offs, deceptive practices, and unfair debt collection. My office educates clients as to their rights and remedies if a business has acted in an unfair manner and refuses to correct a problem they are obligated, by contract or otherwise, to address.
